Hi... I'm Ellen Schulze, known by students in elementary school classrooms, after school programs and kids' camps throughout southern California as "The Puppet Lady".
In association with Jim Gamble Puppets, I am a professional puppeteer, theater and puppetry arts teacher, as well as a roster artist with the Los Angeles Music Center Education Division, and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. I bring a mix of fun and education through puppetry and puppet-making into classrooms, teacher in-services, educational programs, as well as festivals and special events.
Puppetry and theater arts reinforce children's problem solving skills, build self confidence, and stimulate imaginative thinking in kids of all ages. I can design projects which are tailored to fit your budget, your kids and your curriculum.
Projects can range from a single puppet-building session to a full blown "residency" where your kids will get hands-on experience with a variety of puppets, as well as script-writing, stage production, scenery, prop building, and rehearsals culminating in a stage performance for family and friends.
I'm also available for birthday parties, picnics and other special events.
